What we collect

Nothing about you. Plenty has no accounts, so there is no name, email address or password to hold. What you tap stays in the app’s own storage on this phone. Plenty does not ask for HealthKit or any health data, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.

iCloud sync

With Plenty Pro, you can turn on iCloud sync in Settings. Your picks, the meals you made, your stickers, the foods you added or hid and your settings are then kept in your own private iCloud storage, so they reach your other devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Apple holds that copy for you under its iCloud terms, and we cannot read it. While sync is on, Plenty also gives RevenueCat the anonymous identifier iCloud uses for you, so your subscription follows you to those devices. Turn sync off and nothing new is sent; what is already on this phone stays.

The camera

The camera fill is part of Plenty Pro, and it asks before a photo is ever sent. When you use it, that one photo of your shelves, shrunk and compressed on this phone, goes to Plenty’s server function on Google Cloud (Firebase), which passes it to Google’s Gemini API to pick out foods from Plenty’s own pantry list. Only that list comes back, and it is added to My kitchen for you to check. With the photo go the anonymous identifier RevenueCat uses, so the server can confirm Plenty Pro, and a check from Apple that the request came from the real app. Plenty does not store the photo, on this phone or on the server, and does not log it. Google handles it under its terms for the paid Gemini API, which do not use it to improve Google’s products, though Google may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse. The server keeps a daily count of camera uses against a scrambled form of that identifier, deleted within two days, to prevent misuse. You can turn the camera fill off in Settings. Stickers are different: they are made on this phone and never sent anywhere.

Reminders

If you turn a reminder on, iOS schedules it on this phone. Nothing is sent anywhere to make it arrive.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details, only whether a subscription is active. To check that, Plenty may use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and the purchase record from Apple, never your name or email address.

Deleting

Delete everything on this device removes it all at once. With iCloud sync on, it is removed from your iCloud copy and your other devices too. Apart from the short-lived camera count above, nothing is held on a server of ours, so there is nothing left behind for us to delete on your behalf.
